Web Applications

A number of web applications are available to departmental Personnel Payroll System (PPS) users. In addition, At Your Service Online is available to all University employees and GLACIER© can be used by all foreign visitors. Each is described below along with a link for more information. Access Requirements that apply to each of the PPS web applications are listed below the list of applications. To access the login page for each application, click on Go below the name of the application:

A report viewing application provided by AIS as the primary source for the review of Personnel/Payroll reports.

Web EDB Application

The Web EDB Application is an enhancement to the Personnel/Payroll System (PPS) EDB bundle processes. The web-based entry process offers the EDB Preparer the ability to update personnel actions with several enhanced features in order to streamline the personnel data entry process. All personnel actions entered in the Web EDB Application will immediately update into the current PPS system.

Post Authorization Notification System (PAN)

A Post-Authorization Notification system designed by UCOP as part of the part of the base Personnel/Payroll system.  PAN is used to send notification(s) to the reviewers of PPS transactions (from the preparers) that an update has occurred and to send additional notifications to other interested parties.

A secure website designed by UCOP that allows all UC employees to update personal information, view pay stub information, estimate federal and state income withholding taxes, and print duplicate W-2 forms.

A secure web based online timesheet system. Designed to collect employee work hours, acquire supervisor's approval, and upload timesheet data electronically to the Payroll Personnel System (PPS) Time Input Roster.

Access Requirements

In order to use most of the PPS web applications, the user must have the following:

Note: Your computer screen display resolution should be set to 800 x 600 or higher in order to display the application pages as they were designed.

  • A valid OASIS logon ID.
  • A computer with a UCLA IP address (be on a campus computer, logged in through a secure UCLA network or using the BOL (Bruin Online) VPN.
  • Netscape 4.5 or higher OR Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher.
  • Access to the application granted by the departmental DSA upon authorization by your department head and/or immediate supervisor.
