Employee-Initiated Reduction in Time (ERIT) Program Extended

The Employee-Initiated Reduction in Time (ERIT) Program has been extended for an additional three-year period, from July 1, 2014, through June 30, 2017.

An ERIT contract (UBEN 280) must be, signed by both the ERIT participant and the department head to initiate an ERIT contract. A contract must be completed and signed prior to the entry of ERIT information in EDB. Completed ERIT Contracts and/or Contract Amendment forms must be forwarded to the appropriate Central HR office.

Important Notes for EDB Entry for New ERIT Contract Period:

  • Individuals approved for ERIT as of July 1, 2012 will need to enter in to a new ERIT program contract.
  • Dates entered on ELVE must reflect the dates of the current ERIT contract.
  • New ERIT contract information must be entered on an entirely new distribution line.
