The minimum requirements for a financial computing system include:
Availability | The system must be available when the users need it. |
Data Access | The system must provide access to data in ways that are timely, complement workflow processes and are retained as specified in the University Records Disposition Schedules Manual. |
Performance | The system must meet users' performance needs. |
Support | Users must receive training and documentation and be given contact information for individuals who can resolve problems. |
Maintenance | The system must provide reliable service and should be upgraded as technology or user needs change. |
Security | Access to the system must be protected at a minimum by user IDs and passwords. The system must also be protected from theft and vandalism. Information Technology Services (IT Services) can work with your department to establish access controls. |
