Purpose
Nonresident aliens receiving employee or non-employee compensation from UCLA or UCOP, may use Form 8233 to claim a tax treaty exemption based on their country of residence.
How to Get Form 8233
Form 8233 will be automatically generated by GLACIER (UCLA’s nonresident alien online tax compliance system) if the individual is eligible for a tax treaty exemption. Please note that individuals must provide a U.S. taxpayer ID number, such as a Social Security number (SSN) or individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN).
